Provider Workforce

The Provider Workforce consists of those people who are directly delivering support and / or care to vulnerable people who live in the Borough, alongside those who manage or support them.

Some of our opportunities are limited to the Council’s directly employed workforce, primarily those working in our reablement services (both community and bed-based), our range of day opportunity services, and respite services. These services all strive to maximise the independence of people who need support, and to help those who can to live without further reliance on formal services.

The majority of sessions, however, are also open to people working in the Private, Independent & Voluntary sectors, including care homes, as part of our responsibility to look to drive up the quality of all services available to Walsall citizens who require our support. We also share opportunities with colleagues in Health, both fostering joint-working and sharing knowledge and skills to care.

Also with the wider definition of Providers are ‘family’ or ‘informal’ carers, those family, friends and volunteers who support vulnerable people without financial reward, and who deserve all the (free) support that we can offer.
