Private, Independent and Voluntary Sectors

Workforce development is a key factor which contributes to improving the quality of care in Residential and Nursing Care Homes, Domiciliary Care services and in the Voluntary Sector.

As a result this site is being developed for the Independent Sector as a first stop shop for the adult social care workforce to help develop a highly skilled workforce drawn from all sections of the community.

Our Learning & Development Programmes provide a range of core and mandatory essential knowledge and skills requirements, recognised accredited programmes, with plans for greater integration of social care and health with clinical/nursing courses provided by our NHS partners.

We aim to nurture a culture of one workforce:-

  • To deliver the standard of care in our Residential Care Homes, Nursing Care Homes, Domiciliary Agencies and within our Voluntary Sector organisations required by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • To encourage access to National Skills for Care & Skills for Health resources and tools for recruitment and retention, workforce planning, QCF - Qualifications Credit Framework development for all Social Care workers and Social Care Registered Managers.

Access our workforce development tools, publications and resources.
